Is the feud coming to an end? The Fast and Furious co-stars Tyrese Gibson and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson have been having beef, but now, Tyrese seems to be realizing he made a mistake calling Dwayne out publicly.
In perspective, the actor believes he did not behave in a ‘professional’ manner.
As fans of the Fast and Furious franchise know, the feud was reignited by Gibson when he slammed The Rock on social media for getting the ninth film’s release date pushed in order to release his spin-off earlier.
Initially, Fast and Furious 9 was supposed to be released in April of 2019, but the date has been postponed for April 2020.
‘#PSA Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka seven bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and furious franchise all about YOU. And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post – Gn folks see you in 2020 April #FastFamily right? Nah….. it’s about #TeamDewayne #3yrs will it be worth the wait? #NoShaw just Hobbs will this be another #BayWatch? Guys guys just relax I’m just a passionate film critic,’ Gibson posted on Instagram.
He even threatened to quit the ninth installment if Johnson still starred in it.
Not too long ago, Dwayne also addressed their beef while on Watch What Happens Live. Check out what he had to say.
But now, on The Red Pill podcast, Gibson told Van Lathan that while he and Dwayne are yet to discuss their differences, he is determined to do so very soon.
He went on to admit that ’I found myself being the messenger on behalf of various people associated to the franchise, but stupid me was the only one who went public about those feelings, which is my own fault. It’s not professional, it’s not cool.’
