Tyler Baltierra And Catelynn Lowell Slammed For Being Late To Meet Daughter They Gave For Adoption - Here's Their Explanation!
Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra gave their first child, a daughter, for adoption but the Teen Mom couple still gets to visit her from time to time. That being said, this time around, they were late to meet her and fans dragged them for it!
Now, the stars defended themselves, saying that there was actually a very good reason why they were late.
In the latest episode, the parents were shown visiting their 10 year old biological daughter, Carly, the child they gave for adoption back in 2009.
Since they hadn’t seen her in years, it really meant a lot but somehow, they were still late and people on social media were outraged by their tardiness.
In response, Tyler took to Twitter to defend themselves and explain: ‘Yes, we were late to our visit with Carly. But you should have seen the amount of joy she had when she saw that scrapbook and our handwritten letters! Adopted kids treasure handwritten words and pics from their birth parents and it was very special to her! So glad we did it in person!’
Catelynn addressed the situation as well: ‘Yep, we were late! By like 30-45 mins and it was because I finished her scrapbook! Which by the way she LOVED!!!! She wasn’t upset about us being late she was so excited about her scrapbook.’
The emotional meeting was shot by the Teen Mom cameras at the end of June.
At the time, Catelynn and Tyler met up with Brandon and Teresa Davis, Carly’s adoptive parents and, of course, Carly, for the first time in two years.
The 10 year old was even able to play with her younger sisters – 4 year old Novalee and baby Vaeda, who was four months old when the scenes were shot.
