No good deed may go unpunished but no bad deed will go unnoticed. Tristan Thompson is allegedly feeling the karma of his actions from the past couple of months and it’s been weighing heavily on his mind.
News broke at the beginning of April that the basketball player was cheating on Khloe Kardashian with at least five women during the length of her pregnancy. Although Tristan may have thought that he was getting off scot-free due to the fact that the new mother found it in her heart to forgive him, he is paying for it in other ways.
On June 8, the Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the Golden State Warriors and suffered an epic loss. To make things even worse, Tristan has been underperforming the entire season. Sources say that the drama with Khloe was the main cause for his mediocre court presence and now that the season is over — he has to answer to Khloe concerning his naughty behavior.
A source told Hollywood Life: “He’s been under a lot of fire from several different camps, accusing him of allowing his personal life to overwhelm his professional one, and although he’s tried to deny it, he really has to face up to the reality of it now. Tristan’s aware that as an athlete, especially one that plays at the level he does, he can not afford to lose his focus when he’s on court, but he did—he dropped the ball, figuratively, and literally, and now he’s paying the price for it.”
“Tristan knows that he’s going to have a lot of questions to answer over the next few weeks, but right now he just wants to rest up and lick his wounds. Tristan knows better than anyone that he didn’t play his best game, throughout pretty much the whole of the past season, and he is torturing himself over it,” the insider went on to say.
The 27-year-old is under a lot of pressure to redeem himself. The “KUWK” is set to return home to her family soon and Tristan knows that his reputation with the tight-knit family and it’s going to be a lot of work in order to repair the damage he’s done.
