Travis Scott Concert Tragedy; 11 Deaths Reported
As you probably know by now, a recent Travis Scott concert ended in tragedy. Check out the available reports below.
The Shade Room notes that 'A crowd of 50,000 people attended #TravisScott’s third-annual #AstroworldFest at NRG park where mass chaos erupted, which left “at least” eight people dead and several others injured.'
'According to authorities, at around 9:15p.m., the crowd started moving towards the front of the stage. Once people moved closer, multiple individuals started passing out because they couldn’t breathe.'
'The crowd began to compress toward the front of the stage, and people began to panic,' Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña. stated.
TSR also said: 'At least two dozen people were taken to Houston hospitals, and 11 were reported as 'CPR in progress,' when they were transported, @khou11 reports. the festival has been canceled for the rest of the weekend and is currently under investigation. #Roomies, please keep the families of those impacted in your prayers. We’ll keep you updated.'
Someone said; 'I saw videos and the saddest part of it all was seeing medics trying to perform cpr on lifeless bodies all while people continued to jam out and dance to the music right next to them. This is why I don’t go to these shows.'
One follower posted this: 'No artist is ever this serious where yall need to trample people. Yall be WORSHIPPING these people.'
A follower said: 'It’s almost 2022 and the people who put together these events and concerts still don’t understand the importance of crowd control? Smh.'
Travis Scott spoke about what happened:
'Naa bro. There’s videos of you literally saying let’s keep going after people walked up to you and told you the facts. You were even singing and looking right at someone being taken away. there was an ambulance in the crowd! I was defending you in my head until I saw those videos smh. Just weird.'
Someone said: 'He heard them people scream for help, them kids even went on stage to tell him' and one other follower posted this: 'This seems very forced.. there’s no emotion behind what’s he’s saying a PR move for sure. Rip to all the once that lost their lives.'
A follower said: 'Besides the 'apologies', he should also explain why he didn't stop the show.'
Someoene else said: 'seeing these videos brings me to tears.. imagine seeing it in person, how could you not stop that show?'
A fan said: 'Travis organized the event? Sure but he definitely didn't do it alone and certainly has people working under him that he hired for the very reason of keeping people safety. The man is performing in front of thousands of mfs and he's mad far away. Staff can kill mics and end it.'
