Tracee Ellis Ross from Black-ish may actually be getting her own television show reports One of the program's leading stars, Tracee Ellis Ross, is apparently in talks with a production company about a spin-off revolving around her character.

In a report from Deadline, the outlet claims the show will be previewed in an episode of Black-ish starring Anthony Anderson among other performers, and it'll also highlight the series' latest and 5th season. The episode will feature some old memories including childhood moments and other interesting tidbits from Rainbow Johnson's past.

It will lead to a prequel revolving around her experiences growing up as a young girl. Tracee's character is interesting for a couple of different reasons, one of which is the fact she has a multicultural upbringing including a mother who's a "hippie."

Set in the 1980s and 1990s, the show will explore sociocultural-political issues through the use of comedy. If it actually ends up happening, this will mark the second spin-off of the series. The first one is called Grown-ish , and it stars Yara Shahidi.

Kenya Barris, the creator of Black-ish, is in talks for executive producing the series. As it was noted above, Tracee Ellis Ross stars in the show as Dr. Rainbow Johnson and her portrayal of the character has led to several nominations and awards.

The reasons for which include the way in which Tracee highlights some of the issues faced by mixed race people in the black community and in American culture at large - also one of the reasons for why the show is called, " Black-ish ."

She previously won the award for Best Supporting Actress from the Golden Globes as well as a few different NAACP awards. Interestingly, Tracee is actually the daughter of the legendary Motown singer, Diana Ross, and Robert Ellis Silberstein.

Silberstein and Diana were married for approximately 6 years until they got a divorce in 1977. They got married in 1971 and worked together during the time in which they were hitched. Diana had 5 children throughout her life, including Rhonda Ross Kendrick, Tracee, and Evan Ross.
