Tom Cruise invited Prince William and Kate Middleton for a mere private screening of the new Top Gun
As the public prepares to discover, almost 36 years later, the sequel to Tony Scott's cult film released in 1986, Tom Cruise wanted to offer the princely pair a preview of choice.

The 59-year-old actor invited Elizabeth II's grandson and his wife, Kate Middleton, to a private screening at the IMAX Theater in Leicester Square in London on Thursday, March 31, according to The Sun. The royal couple was accompanied by Princess Eugenie, Beatrice, and Sophie Wessex.
"A source told Tabloid, The rest of the theater has been shut to secure the privacy of William, Kate, and a few other associates of the royal family and a few authorized companions, adding:" Tom welcomed them. "I hope they like the film as much as he like it."
Actors who also starred in Mission Impossible can now relax. If Prince William is a non-serious fan of the first part, just ten years ago, being the captain of the Royal Air Force himself, he was attracted to this sequel. The Sun was told that "it has received royal approval because William himself was a military pilot, so it is very close to his heart."

This is not the first time Kate Middleton and Prince William have accompanied the premiere of an influential action film. Last September, they were invited to watch the feature film Dying Can Wait, the 25th episode of the James Bond adventure with Daniel Craig, at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
