Tiny is shocked as she is mourning the death of her beloved security guard known as Big Rio. She revealed the fact that he died on December 2 and it seems that he was like family for poor Tiny.
Tiny unfortunately lost one of her security guards also known as Big Rio during the past weekend. She posted on Instagram on December 3 to reveal this shocking and sad news.
We don’t know for sure how exactly he died but what we do know is that this hit Tiny pretty hard.
‘We lost one of my favorite security guards last night,’ Tiny wrote next to a photo of Big Rio.
‘He was definitely more like family to me! Used to look forward to going home to talk to @jusbigrio The house won’t be the same without him!! We will truly miss Big Rio!!’
It is not very clear if Big Rio was just Tiny’s bodyguard or if he was also working with Xscape, the band that includes Tiny, Tamika Scott, and LaTocha Scott. Kandi Burruss seems to have left the group for now, and there are only three members left.

#ad Feeling blahh? Y’all know I feel that, but I’m over it. It’s time for the bounce back.. @flattummyco has got my back and with up to 25% off all products they’ll have yours too👌 Thanksgiving always means food, wine, and more wine, and as much as I tell myself calories don’t count on Thanksgiving… well, my tummy must have missed the memo.. but with Shake It Baby that’s almost true! My bounce back is officially on it’s way, hit them up to get yours goin.
Xscape still has to speak out about Big Rio’s passing officially. Tiny’s husband, T.I. also liked her post so we can say that it is possible that Big Rio could have worked for the Harris family. Big Rio’s Instagram account is private, so we cannot offer you more detailed information.
Xscape just began The Great Xscape Tour, which features special guests, Monica, Tamar Braxton, Tiny’s daughter, Zonnique, and June’s Diary. The ladies’ epic reunion tour runs through the holidays. There will be breaks on Christmas Eve/Christmas and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
Xscape is scheduled to hit 28 cities throughout the country. We send our sincere condolences to Tiny, her family, and to everyone who knew Big Rio.
