Tilda Swinton had a surprising response when she found out that her friend and cohort, George Clooney, was expecting twins. The 57-year-old actress claims she “laughed hard,” because Tilda used to frequently complain to Clooney of being tired all of the time due to raising her twins. George and Tilda worked twice together in the past, including on the set of Michael Clayton and Burn After Reading.
Now it’s George’s time to be tired! Reporters from Us Weekly caught up with the Burn After Reading alum, and it was there where the actress admitted she laughed at George. not in his face, but “across the airwaves” many times.
Swinton admitted, “I’ve haven’t spoken to him lately, but I’ve laughed.” As you may know, Swinton and Clooney worked together on the set of Michael Clayton back in 2007, as well as in 2008 in Burn After REading alongside John Malkovich.
Swinton knows all about the parenting life, especially when it comes to twins because she and her husband have twins of their own.
Clooney supposedly used to laugh at Swinton all of the time for having kids. However, Swinton joked, “now I have the last laugh.” She said, “George’s gonna need some sleeping pills.”
Tilda and her partner, Sandro Kopp, have two children named Honor and Xavier who are 20-years-old. Tilda doesn’t typically talk about her family in the press, but she did talk about her family when speaking with The Guardian back in 2011.
At the time, she stated that she loved her children and was “really into them.”
Either way, it’s been a particularly busy year for George, as the movie star welcomed two twins into the world and sold his tequila company for $1 billion. Clooney said in the past that he “doesn’t have to worry about having money anymore,” because he just sold his company.
