As you may know, Tiffany Haddish’s past life experiences have been on the minds of many of her fans considering the release of her new autobiography, The Last Black Unicorn, might’ve included details that were less than truthful. Reportedly, the stories regarding her ex-husband, William Stewart, were not valid.
After the comedian’s story became well known, Stewart came out on Instagram to deny the claims outright. He said, although the allegations are a lie, Stewart said it was probably the editor who made the edits.
However, since then, Stewart showed documents which prove he’s not a liar. During an interview with V-103, Williams said he “married Tiffany, her issues, and the Hollywood lifestyle” implying that her recent shift to the life of an actress was a bit much for him to bear.
During the interview, Stewart said he has never called a woman a “motherf*cker” or a “bi*ch” in his entire life; a miscarriage due to domestic abuse is off-the-table as well.
Reportedly, Tiffany told Stewart around a month ago that when the book came out, he would be livid.
Furthermore, According to a report from the Jasmine Brand, Haddish allegedly filed a restraining order against him back in July of 2011 because of an altercation in Montreal, Canada.
She stated they were in Canada – for a stand-up comedy show – and he choked her in the stairway of a hotel. Tiffany supposedly wanted to spend time with the other comedians, but her husband of the time didn’t want that.
Additionally, Haddish explained that she suffered numerous injuries including a bruised eye, back, and neck. Tiffany divorced Stewart two years after the court granted her the right to a restraining order.
