Tiffany Haddish Could Be Taking Over Ellen DeGeneres’ Talk Show Time Slot After Final Season!
As you might know by now, Ellen DeGeneres has confirmed that season 19 of her talk show will be the last one ever! With that being said, there are speculations going around that her time slot will be occupied by none other than Tiffany Haddish when that happens.
After all, the actress and comedian has often filled in for Ellen when she needed it and seems perfect to have her own daytime talk show.
She is a fan favorite possible replacement and it really doesn’t sound like wishful thinking since she’s reportedly at the top of the list amongst the bosses of the network.
Tiffany has plenty of practice filling in for Ellen during the 2020-2021 season, her appearances having acted as some sort of audition for a similar position as well.
It’s safe to say that she’s proven herself capable for this job, her hosting and comedy skills being some of the best in the industry!
Page Six reports that she totally impressed the NBC Universal bosses so she’s now at the top of their list to get her own talk show after Ellen’s 2022 season wraps up.
‘Tiffany is a favorite, she has a lot of humor and empathy in spades. She is top of the list to get a daytime show – she is a fresh voice,’ one source told Page Six.
This comes after Ellen DeGeneres told Hollywood Reporter that after nearly two decades as the host of her own talk show, she no longer feels like it’s a challenge for her.
She explained that ‘When you are a creative person, you need to be challenged constantly — and as great as this whole show is, and as fun as it is, it’s not a challenge anymore.’
She also talked about it on the latest episode of the show, telling her audience that she just felt like it was the right time.
