Tiffany Haddish and Tyler Perry get along very well. For one, both Haddish and Perry love comedy and are serious about activism. The two Hollywood celebs learned they had something even more in common when they worked on their latest project together: they both lived in their cars at the start of their career.

When Tiffany was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , the comedienne revealed how she and Tyler have a lot of things in common, and for that reason, their friendship is unparalleled.

"Tyler Perry is great," Tiffany stated, before going on to comment on Perry's work ethic, as well as the fact he once lived in a Gio Metro like her.

There's no question that neither of these individuals has to slum it anymore, now that Haddish is the biggest female comedian out right now, and Perry has a long and illustrious career of producing television and film.

Tyler even starred as a lawyer once in Gone Girl, along with Ben Affleck, a film in which he played a savvy attorney who knows and understands the law to an exceptional degree.

Perhaps, Perry's struggle to the top is what inspired him to give Geoffrey Owens, the former star of The Cosby Show , a role in one of his television series. Following the publishing of photographs of Owens bagging groceries at Trader Joes, both Judd Apatow and Perry offered him work.

Haddish stated that after she graduated from high school, the foster care system told her she was too old to be a child of the state anymore and was subsequently left to fend for herself.

Before Perry became famous, he lost all of his money after launching an unsuccessful play. Haddish described Tyler as the man who "pulled himself up by his bootstraps" and created an empire, something which she also aspires to do.

Tiffany admires the director, writer, producer, and actor, for that very reason. She learned a lot about him while working on the Atlanta-filmed production, Nobody's Fool . And on a final positive note, to wrap up filming on their collaboration, Tyler went so far as to give her a brand new Tesla which she adores.
