The drama continues for former Southern Charm stars Thomas Ravenel and Ashley Jacobs. Rumors have been flying that the two got married last weekend, but it looks like that didn’t happen. However, despite the fact that both of them have said they aren’t returning to Southern Charm for Season 6, a new report claims they are in talks with Bravo to come back.
The marriage rumor came after someone named Jason Jolly posted a pic on Instagram over the weekend of Ravenel and Jacobs with friends and tagged the reality stars in the post and added the caption, “Great to be with this couple on their special day! Congrats and best wishes!”

But, Ravenel and Jacobs did not get married. There is no evidence that the two obtained a marriage license this past week in Charleston, South Carolina, and Jolly allegedly used to date Jennifer Snowden, who has made appearances on Southern Charm in past seasons.
It has been difficult keeping up with Ravenel and Jacobs since Season 5 ended in June. After she insisted at the reunion that the two were still together, a few weeks later on Instagram Jacobs posted that the two had broken up. Then, Ravenel confirmed on Twitter that they had split.
But now, the couple is showing up all over Charleston and looking happy together in pictures. So, what their relationship status is at this point is anybody’s guess.
As for their possible return to Southern Charm, LALATE is reporting that they are both “highly likely” to come back for Season 6. Since Season 5 just ended a few weeks ago and they have yet to start shooting new episodes, none of the cast members have signed a contract for next season. There have also reportedly been no decisions made regarding cast changes, but we should find out in the next 60 days if Jacobs and Ravenel will be returning.

Is it possible that the two have gotten engaged — or at least floated the story online — in an attempt to renegotiate a contract? Jacobs did tell People Magazine recently that she would like to come back for another season. So, who knows what they would possibly do to keep their spots on the Bravo reality show?
Of course, Ravenel is still under investigation by the Charleston police because of accusations of sexual assault. He didn’t appear on the reunion show last season because of it, so it would come as a surprise to many if he did return.
But last year, Jacobs moved from California to South Carolina after dating Ravenel for just a few weeks, and she seems to enjoy being a reality star.
“I’ve heard talks that I’m coming back, and then I haven’t heard anything. I haven’t heard anything directly. It’s still up in the air,” Jacobs said.

She added that Bravo hasn’t asked her to return, but they haven’t said “no” either. And, maybe they are waiting until the last second because she isn’t a full-time cast member. Ashley Jacobs also revealed that she would like to come back so she could have a “redemption story” like Kathryn Dennis did. She says she wouldn’t fight or play dirty. Instead, she would smile and be nice.
Thomas Ravenel has yet to comment on the latest round of rumors.
New episodes of Southern Charm will return to Bravo in 2019.
