This Is Us actor Lonnie Chavis has shared a powerful video explaining that it is time for cyberbullying to end because too many young people are killing themselves after getting hurt and humiliated by trolls.
Many times the bullies are grown adults or classmates, who are facing insecurities, battling mental issues, and take their frustration out on these innocent children and teens.
The White Famous actor gave a powerful speech during a car ride where he asked people to leave the gap between his two front teeth alone.
Chavis, who plays the younger version of Sterling K. Brown‘s character, Randall Pearson, on the show, said he is happy with himself.
He also explained why he decided not to fix his teeth by saying: “I could get my gap fixed. Braces can fix this, but like, can you fix your heart, though? There are kids out there killing themselves just because of y’all hating and trolling and doing just crazy stuff.”
He added: “I mean, It’s stupid. Is it fun? No. It hurts people. People kill themselves, and you’re the one who’s making them doing it. Fix your heart, though. For real. I’m happy that I can handle this. I can handle this. I’m not tripping. But there are kids out here. If you all kids are watching this, don’t trip. Be who you want to be. Do what you want to do. Do you. Be you. Believe in yourself.”
Fans are showering Chavis with praises for his positive message and mature behavior.
One person had this to say to the little boy: “Amen, you’re exactly right! If you wanted to fix a gap you could but what they need fixing; their hearts and minds are irreparable.
