The Young & The Restless has some big casting news. Loren Lott is out as Ana Hamilton. Lott used YouTube to not only share the news she is done at Y&R but also document her last day.
“What an amazing journey! I’m so grateful to God for this step in my career. I have learned so much, and I have had so much fun. I’ve received thousands of hugs and kisses and had several ‘dream come true’ moments,” she said.
It has been a short stint on the CBS soap opera for Lott. She joined the show last November, as Devon Hamilton’s younger sister Ana.
I couldn’t be more proud to be your on and off screen bro. You are a one of a kind talent & person that I miss already!! Love you always! https://t.co/9diLgTxYj6

The character had been off-canvas for a while. However, fans were thrilled to have Ana back and portrayed by the American Idol alum.
Lott got candid with her fans regarding the reason she and Ana were leaving Genoa City. Unfortunately, she was told by the top brass they did not know what to do with the character. The storyline idea was not there, so the powers that be decided to let Lott go and use the money elsewhere.
Although the actress was appreciative of the honesty, she was also bummed her time on Y&R was so short. Lott also knows when one door closes another one opens. She has been fighting the good fight for 12-years in Hollywood and knows the drill by now.
“I’ve learned that certain no’s are an even bigger yes somewhere else. I’m grateful for every storyline I participated in and every song I got to sing. How cool that I got to sing and act on TV. All I wanted when I left Broadway was for my grandparents to be able to turn on the TV and see me without having to travel to support me as they are getting older. I got exactly that. Thanks, God. I’m so excited for what’s next,” she shared with her fans.
Loren Lott is out as Ana Hamilton on The Young & The Restless. Several of her castmates, including, Bryton James who played Devon, have praised Lott for her portrayal of Ana.
Her time on the CBS daytime soap opera was not long, but the 26-year-old made quite the impression. Fans who didn’t know her from her stint on American Idol, in 2015 fell in love with her talented acting and singing skills. Fans have definitely not seen the last of this talented beauty.
