The Voice  Season 13 kicked off on Monday, September 25, 2017, with a new panel of celebrity judges and talent hoping to make it past the blind auditions. Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine had their work cut out for them as they hoped to hear a voice that would inspire such passion it would make them spin their chair around and hit their buzzers.

Miley Cyrus returned to the show, after hosting in Season 11. Some fans were thrilled to have Miley back as she brings plenty of excitement to the judges' panel. There's no word yet as to whether Miley plans to wear similar outfits as she did in the 11th Season. Now that she is back with Liam Hemsworth, fans have noticed her attitude, as well as her dress, has been more subdued.

Though Jennifer Hudson is a newcomer to NBC's The Voice , she has been a judge on T he Voice U.K. Don't be fooled, Jennifer is in it to win it, as was apparent during the premiere episode where she resorted to bluffing, trickery, and was accused of threatening the other judges (all in good humor of course) if they pushed their buttons.

First to audition and pick a coach was Chris Weaver The 29-year-old New Yorker was a shoe-in for Jeniffer Hudson's team and she snagged the first team member. Weaver wowed the room with his rendition of Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness."

Twenty-nine year old Mitchell Lee from Charleston, South Carolina sang "Hold my Hand" by Hootie and the Blowfish. Mitchell's vocals were spot on and prompted a three chair turn. Ultimately, Mithcell chose Blake Shelton.

Next up is Janice Freeman. The 32-year-old is from Compton, California and she has seen her fair share of trials and tribulations. She performed "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons and chose Miley Cyrus to be her coach.

Fifteen-year-old Shi’Ann Jones left the audience and judges mesmerized by her talent. The teen is from Bowling Green, Kentucky and she sang a soulful rendition of Ray Charles' "Drown in My Own Tears." Blake made a very good argument why she should choose him, and being a southerner, he knew a bit about local attractions in her hometown, but it was evident that Jennifer Hudson would work magic with Shi'Ann, and she ultimately chose Jennifer

Next to pick a team was 30-year-old Dave Crosby who has already made YouTube and Internet fame for singing duets with his adorable four-year-old daughter Claire. The pair hailed from Seattle, Washington, and though the focus was to be on Dave Crosby's rendition of "I'll Follow You Into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie, Claire continued to steal the spotlight.

Adam had to make a pledge that he would work to further Dave's career and separate him from his adorabe, heart-stealing daughter.

It worked and Dave picked Adam. Adam was beyond ecstatic to have Dave on his team, and we're looking forward to seeing what they accomplish together this season.

Forty-eight-year-old Esera Tuaolo is a former NFL player and singer extraordinairre. He sang a stunning rendition of "Rise Up" by Andra Day. The judges noticed some peculiarities with his breathing and vocal patterns that he explained was due to being a pro-football player.

Esera Tuaolo chose Team Blake and it will be interesting to see if he changes his vocal and breathing approach. Blake let the audience know that he's a huge football fan and he was excited to talk sports with his new team member.

Twenty-six-year-old Brandon Showell sang "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" by Shawn Mendes.  He picked Adam Levine as coach.

Lucas Holiday, also 26-years-old, wowed Jennifer Hudson with his cover of Maxwell's "This Woman's Work." The song was written and performed by Kate Bush, but Maxwell has inspired many versions with his cover. Though Lucas didn't impress all the judges, he made it to Team Jennifer.

Twenty-six-year-old Brooke Simpson is from Hollister, North Carolina. Her goosebump-inducing cover of Demi Lovato's "Stone Cold" caused a four-chair turn, caused predicitions she will either win the show or at least make it to the finale, and assured that NBC is going to try and get Demi on the show for a duet at the finale.

While it seemed Brooke would pick Jennifer Hudson simply because she's a diva singer, she ultimately picked Team Miley.
