Security at the palace has been at an all-time high after officials managed to intercept a suspicious letter addressed to Prince Harry and his future bride Meghan Markle. The envelope contained a white powder, and this worried the guards that it might be an assassination attempt.
According to new reports, the royal couple was informed the letter that was addressed to them contained an unknown white powder that they suspected of being ‘anthrax.’
The efforts to intercept the envelope before it reached the pair paid off.
Reportedly, aside from the supposedly dangerous substance, the letter also contained a racist message.
Thankfully, the experts tested the powder and determined that it was not actually harmful.
Still, the fact that this threat was motivated by race matters is still baffling in this day and age.
Harry and Meghan are yet to officially address this ‘attack’ but we hear that they have been informed about every detail of the investigation.
Previously, it was confirmed that yet another suspicious package containing white powder was mailed to the Parliament.
Supposedly, it was specifically sent to Home Secretary Amber Rudd.
Considering that the powder was determined to be harmless that time as well, the police are trying to figure out if the two instances were related or not.
But the Royal Family and British Parliament are not the only ones dealing with such white powder threats.
In the States, President Donald Trump’s family has been the victim of such a ‘prank’ not just once, but twice!
The most recent of the incidents ended with Donald Trump Jr.’s wife, Vanessa being rushed to the hospital for a check-up after she opened the letter containing the white powder, which was actually cornstarch.
The hospitalization was obviously a precaution, but there is no doubt that such incidents really put security on high alert.
