It has been less than a month since Real Housewives of New York star LuAnn de Lesseps announced she was going to rehab after a drunk and disorderly Christmas Eve resulted in Palm Beach, Florida police arresting her on multiple charges. Now after a stint in rehab, the 52-year-old has already returned home and is shooting new episodes of the popular reality show.
Page Six is reporting that de Lesseps’ short stint in treatment is now over and her road to recovery is going well after the reality star tweeted an update for her followers.
“It’s good to be home,” wrote de Lesseps. “I’m doing great. Spending time with friends and family. Thanking everyone for you continued good wishes and support.”
Her social media update came just after Ramona Singer shared – and then quickly deleted – a cast photo of the women at dinner with de Lesseps at the head of the table. All of the ladies had wine glasses in front of them. Singer captioned the pic with, “The gangs all here! #reunited.”
A friend of de Lesseps says that she is in good spirits, in a positive state of mind, and is taking good care of herself.
Police arrested the reality star in the early morning hours of December 24th after she trespassed into a hotel room at the Colony Beach hotel in Palm Beach and refused to leave. She allegedly entered the wrong room, and when security called the cops, she said that she was going to kill them all.
Prosecutors charged de Lesseps with disorderly intoxication, battery on an officer, resisting arrest with violence, and threatening a public servant. She pleaded not guilty, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff released her on her own recognizance just hours after her arrest.
Her next court appearance is set for January 25th.
After her arrest, de Lesseps apologized for her actions and released a statement blaming her behavior on the fact that she was back in Palm Beach for the first time since her wedding with Tom D’Agostino the year before. The couple divorced after just seven months and her return to Florida brought up some “long-buried emotions.”
She also said that she was embarrassed and decided to voluntarily check herself into an alcohol treatment center. De Lesseps wants to turn this incident into a positive life-changing event, and she wanted to make it clear that it didn’t reflect her core values and “law-abiding character.”
LuAnn de Lesseps’ co-stars are in solidarity with her, and they recently shared their own fake mugshots on social media taken at a prison-style boot camp class called ConBody.
