Tekashi 6ix9ine Reemerges With New Look Following Social Media Break
Tekashi 6ix9ine , when he first got out of prison, assumed he would stay on top of the rap game, and it was true for a while. As most know, Tekashi 6ix9ine , née Daniel Hernandez, was released from a federal penitentiary earlier this year and he quickly climbed the charts a number of times with a few of his releases.
For instance, 6ix9ine dropped his first post-prison song, "GOOBA," which went to the top of the charts and also broke records on YouTube as the most viewed video in under 48 hours. However, audiences soon tired of his schtick and other rappers stopped engaging him on social media and in interviews.
It was later reported that Tekashi 6ix9ine had released a new record, Tattle Tales, but it didn't perform as well as he and his team had hoped. Not long after, outlets said Tekashi 6ix9ine took a short break from social media.
Fast forward to today, and Tekashi 6ix9ine, after a few weeks of relative silence on Instagram and other social sharing platforms, appeared in a video in which he was sporting a brand new look. The rapper was rocking a beard which is not something he has worn in the past.
Fans of the performing artist know his rainbow-colored theme has been a big part of his look. Social media users addressed the rapper's new appearence and asked whether he planned on growing out more facial hair to signify perhaps a new beginning.
This all comes after Tekashi 6ix9ine reportedly succumbed to an overdose. However, it was later revealed by his management team that he never actually overdosed, he just took one too many Hydroxycut pills and caffeine.
As it was previously reported, several publications claimed he had "overdosed" on diet pills and caffeine just a few weeks ago. His team denied it, claiming that he merely endured an adverse reaction to the drug.
Earlier this week, it was reported by All Hip Hop that Tekashi 6ix9ine's girlfriend posted a few photos and videos of him appearing to look alright and in good spirits.
