Just a few minutes after Meek Mill took to his social media to remind everyone of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s past as an informant for federal prosecutors, 6ix9ine, or Daniel Hernandez, clapped right back.
Hot New Hip Hop picked up on the social media exchange today in which the young rapper put Meek Mill on blast but in a light-hearted manner. As you may already know, Tekashi 6ix9ine was recently let out of prison due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in the prison he was staying in.
On account of his good behavior and cooperation as a “stellar witness,” it’s not improbable that Tekashi 6ix9ine was given special consideration as a convict. These days, Hernandez, 23, has been on the receiving end of never-ending social media criticism.
Rather than sit in solitude and say nothing, Hernandez just dropped a brand new song and also has been clapping back against other rappers who accuse him of committing one of the most egregious sins: ratting out one’s accomplices for personal gain.
Regardless of whether Tekashi 6ix9ine was really a “rat” or not, the rapper has been fighting back, and today was no different. On his social media account, Tekashi poked fun at Meek Mill for concerning himself with drama rather than his recently born son.

In response to Meek’s post, Tekashi insinuated that the rapper’s priorities were out of order and he should concern himself with more important matters at hand. He went on to add a “tears of joy” emoji alongside his message.
While 6ix9ine hasn’t been participating in the social media world as he was before his imprisonment, it appears as though he’s slowly moving in that direction again. Tekashi 6ix9ine, ever since his case began, has been the subject of scrutiny, especially in the hip-hop community.
It probably helps that Tekashi 6ix9ine just dropped a brand new song, so he could use the extra publicity. 6ix9ine also participated in an Instagram Livestream in which he addressed some of the criticism against him.
