‘Teen Mom’ Still Not Filming Jenelle Evans After David Eason’s Homophobic Comments

MTV has put filming with Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans on hold after they fired her husband, David Eason, for his homophobic comments on Twitter, and it doesn’t look like they will be starting up again anytime soon. After all the controversy surrounding the couple over the past couple of weeks, will producers decide to fire Evans, too?
According to Radar, MTV pulled their crew from North Carolina – where Evans and Eason live – after announcing that they would finish their last six weeks of production without him.
“It seems like MTV is done filming with Jenelle for the season,” revealed an insider. “Her status for another season is what they’re discussing now, if they’ll fire her from the next one.”
Everything started going downhill for the couple just two weeks ago when Eason posted a picture on social media of Evans holding a gun just hours after the Florida school shooting.

Eason refused to take down the pic and ended up getting into a political debate with his followers over gun control. Later, he went on a homophobic Twitter rant that eventually led to him losing his job on the reality show.
He tweeted that no one had the right to tell him how to be a parent, and then added that people who have gay or transgender children should start teaching their kids better morals.
Then, when someone asked Eason if he was going to teach his children to hate gay and transgender people, he replied “no,” but then said he was going to teach them not to associate with them or be that way.
Official statement from @MTVPress: David Eason’s personal comments do not reflect the views of MTV. With six weeks left of production on ‘Teen Mom 2,’ effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him.

To drive home his point, he wrote, “If you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas.”
It didn’t take long for MTV to release a statement saying that Eason’s comments did not reflect the network’s views, and they had decided to part ways with him.
The couple’s Teen Mom 2 co-stars completely supported MTV’s decision to fire Eason, with Kailyn Lowry tweeting that Eason’s comments were disturbing and she didn’t think the network should let him get away with it.
Leah Messer also weighed in, writing that Eason and Evans need help and the comments were disturbing, but not surprising.
However, the couple obviously didn’t learn their lesson, because less than a week later Jenelle Evans posted multiple photos of her son Kaiser holding a toy gun.
But, not all their fans fumed over the pics. Many made comments in support of the couple, saying that is a part of southern life to teach kids gun safety.
The new season of Teen Mom 2 will begin later this year on MTV.
