'Teen Mom' Star Ryan Edwards Officially Out Of Rehab As Mackenzie Standifer Threatens Divorce
After previous attempts to come clean, Teen Mom OG star Ryan Edwards is back home with his family. The star missed the October 9 th birth of his son, Jagger, and Mackenzie Standifer is reportedly done with him if he can’t clean up his act.
This is not Ryan's first run-in with drugs. He has a significant history of possession and failed drug tests.
In March 2017 he was issued a citation for possession of heroin. Fourteen hypodermic needles were confiscated by police. One of the needles contained heroin.
Hardly a dream groom, he was filmed falling asleep at the wheel and slurring his words during his wedding. He entered rehab after the wedding in May 2017.
Unfortunately, he did not complete his treatment plan, finishing only 21 of the recommended 30 days.
He was arrested in March 2018 after failing a drug test in January 2018, testing positive for opiates and morphine in a urine sample. He was arrested again in July 2018 for breaking probation on a previous charge. He was sentenced in both cases.
This fall, Ryan chose to enter a treatment facility in Alabama after relapsing on an episode of Teen Mom OG.
Radar Online reports that over Thanksgiving, Mackenzie flew with the couple’s newborn son, Jagger, to Alabama to pick up Ryan.
Though Ryan has successfully completed treatment this time, the future is still uncertain. Mackenzie is concerned about Ryan’s sobriety and his ability to stay clean.
Sources state they are questioning if Ryan should be involved in future filming. Mackenzie hopes to improve their image, feeling they have not been portrayed well in the past.
The couple is reportedly living with Mackenzie’s parents, as she is hesitant to find a permanent residence due to Ryan’s previous relapses.
A source claims, "If he [Ryan Edwards] relapses again, she's going to file for divorce. She's serious. She doesn't want to continue to be with someone who doesn't help himself."
New episodes of Teen Mom OG air Monday nights on MTV.
