Former Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham has quite the ego, but that doesn’t come as a surprise to fans. MTV recently announced that they would be replacing the fired Abraham with fan favorite Mackenzie McKee, but Abraham is certain that McKee will never measure up to what she did on the show. Is it possible MTV made a mistake by letting Abraham go?
According to PopCulture, the 26-year-old mother of one is taking the news of her replacement with a grain of salt.
“I don’t know if the series is canceled or still going to try to make a return after my departure,” Abraham said. “Replacing an OG is irreplaceable.”
She added that she left at the height of Teen Mom history and she is content with her choice.
But was it really her choice? The answer is no. MTV let Abraham go last fall after she returned to the adult entertainment business, and last month she filed a $5 million lawsuit against Viacom (MTV’s parent company) claiming “sex-shaming” on the part of producers.
The My Teenage Dream Ended author says that her next move is to try acting since her time on Teen Mom, which she claims was “fake,” prepared her for more dramatic roles. She says that reality TV has turned into faked scenes, so she is focusing on acting and scripted parts because at this point she feels she is the best actress the world has ever seen.
As she put her Teen Mom years behind her, Abraham had one final message for her co-stars Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, and Catelynn Lowell. She wished all the women the best and hoped their jealousy, hatred, and woman-hating would stop so they could lift and empower more women.
She also said that the show lacked honesty and integrity, which is why the producers and staff control the adults on the show.
Abraham concluded by saying that the effect of the show on the kids is concerning, and she hopes the parents will take their children’s development and safety more seriously.
As for McKee, she is a married mother of three who last appeared on Teen Mom 3 before MTV canceled it in 2013. She is currently taking care of her mom who is battling stage four brain cancer, and McKee has type 1 diabetes.
She is also a health and fitness nut who has her own personal training business and a website featuring her workout program.
Now that she has officially joined the show, fans will have the chance to get to know her and her family, and McKee will likely be a welcome addition to the Teen Mom OG family. Watch Farrah Abraham get fired on the next all-new episode of Teen Mom OG Monday night on MTV.
