The TV host opened up about her terrifying health problem that took place on live TV! During yesterday’s episode of Wendy Williams’ talk show, the woman passed out in her Statue of Liberty Halloween costume. After a short break, she came back, explaining that she was just ‘overheated.’
Today, Williams told all about what she experienced.
First of all, she addressed the speculations that it was a joke, assuring everybody that was not the case.
She also revealed that about 48 minutes into the talk show, a producer was briefing her on what was going to happen after a commercial break when she suddenly started to feel ‘weird.’
‘We were about to do our Halloween costume contest. I am on this [podium] and meanwhile [the producer is] talking, and I am like, ‘Alright, Wendy. At least you’re wearing flats and you are holding onto this and there are only 12 minutes left of the show, you can do it, girl.’ I was feeling a wave, how hot. Something’s about to happen. Hot and a little dizzy,’ Wendy recalled the scary experience.
As the TV personality started tearing up, she told the audience that just before she came back from break, she heard nothing the producer said.
‘That is when you saw me with the eyes. Because it was scary. It was really scary … all I could think about during the scare was, ‘Do not pull the podium over on to you ’cause that will make it worse.’’
According to what she remembers people telling her, she was out for only a few seconds and immediately pushed through and came back on air.
As she went on with her story, Williams suggested she is currently going through menopause, and that is what caused her to faint in the hot costume.
Finally, Wendy concluded her speech by thanking her fans for support and even gave a shout out to her haters!
