Taylor Nolan and Derek Peth are no longer an item! The Bachelor in Paradise couple has decided to put an end to their relationship.
‘It is with very much sadness that we’ve decided to end our engagement. We put everything that we could into our relationship, and we are heartbroken to go on separately, but we know it is the best decision for both of us. We’ll still be present in each other’s lives with support, admiration, and respect for each other,’ the exes told E! News.
When they joined the fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise last year, Nolan and Peth were instantly drawn to one another.
It was like a fairytale, and it seemed like they would be together forever, especially after the proposal.
‘If people wonder if this stuff is real…all you had to do was see him, he was shaking like a leaf. That was one of the rawest, sweetest moments I’ve seen in a long time,’ host Chris Harrison told E! News at the time.
But it looks like what affected their romance so negatively was distance.
Back in December of last year, Peth moved to New York, but Nolan stayed in Seattle.
Last month, the woman took to social media to post a pic taken when he met her family.
‘He was just him, and I was just me. It is one of my favorite trips we have had because everyone loved him and it just fit. Long distance is difficult but thinking about good quality experiences like this makes it a bit easier,’ she wrote in the caption.
Nolan and Peth are no longer going to be part of Bachelor in Paradise this upcoming season 5.
