On Monday, a flight attendant asked Tara Reid to get off of a Delta Airline flight. Tara, 42, spoke with reporters from Extra after TMZ acquired a video showing the Sharknado star exiting a plane after an attendant demanded her to leave.
“They wouldn’t let the dog sit next to me, so I wasn’t going to stay on the plane,” Tara explained. According to the actress, it wasn’t that big of a deal, but everyone chose to make it into this huge sensation.
The actress added that she’s “used to that kind of thing,” because “they” always find ways to pick on her. When multiple publications reached Delta for a comment today following Reid’s explanation, none of them responded to the inquiry.
Tara’s comments came after she was booted off the Delta Flight 613 on Monday, following a “disturbance,” on the plane. Reid was carrying her dog in her arm as she got off.
In a statement to People Magazine, Ashton Kang from Delta explained the jet had to return to the gate because of a “customer disturbance.” It was headed for New York City from Los Angeles.
Fans of Tara know this isn’t the first time she’s faced scrutiny. During an interview on Australia’s Today Extra, Tara was allegedly slurring her speech and squinting, leading some online to question whether she was intoxicated or not.
Thankfully, she took it all in stride, thanking her fans, and then turning her post into a promotion for her upcoming Sharknado movie.
On her supposed disheveled appearence, Tara said it was unfortunate to receive negative press after a successful week of promoting her new movie. She went on to thank her family, friends, fans, and followers, for their continued support.
As you may know, Tara may have a point when she accused the media of “picking on” her. Whether she has gotten plastic surgery or not has been a talking point for tabloid publications for years.
