Tamar Braxton and Toya Wright’s friendship has been on the rocks for some time now, especially, after the pair duked it out on social media. Many are left wondering what happened? However, now that things have calmed down between the couple, the singer divulged in a new interview with The Breakfast Club about their dissolving relationship.
In discussion with Power 105.1’s radio show, Tamar explained she felt a little hurt by Toya’s failure to acknowledge they were friends in the first place.
According to Tamar, it hurts her feelings to know that Toya never held their relationship in the same regard as herself; it was an unrequited friendship on some level.
She said, “I had no idea that she wasn’t my friend. This (idea) is one of the things that hurt me the most.” Braxton continued that when Toya’s brothers passed away, it affected her.
Additionally, when Braxton and Tiny called Wright to console her, she felt offended by the fact Toya merely thought it was a “nice gesture,” rather than understanding that the tragedy affected both of them equally.
According to the singer, she has no idea why Toya is so bothered and doesn’t even know why they started to butt heads in the first place.
She said, “I had no idea that we had beef. On God, I had no idea.” Tamar said she is incredibly grateful to be in her position and is happy in her life, so why would she care? Things are going great. Check out the video above to see Tamar explain herself in her own words.
