Tamar Braxton Is A Spitting Image Of Traci And Evelyn Braxton In New Music Video -- Receives Praise For Bringing R&B Back
Tamar Braxton seemingly has a whole new life after her nasty split from Vincent Herbert. After releasing the visuals to her song titled "The Makings of You," the singer is being praised for coming into her own.
The "Braxton Family Values" vocalist took to Instagram to reveal in a lengthy post that read, in part: "There is no label. No manager. Just what I believe in. You. My Tamartianfriends who believed in me from the very start. I’ve spent my own money, time, favors, and hometown friends to put together something so AMAZING for you all. This is where i am from!!! #DMV I’m proud of that!! It’s so much talent and brilliance, I wanted to share it with the world......I don’t know what is going on with R&B.... and it’s so HARD for people to take me seriously after my business and personal split. But just like I got here... my hard work and my non willingness to NEVER quit remains!!! ....all I know is that more is to come. This is just the beginning. I’ve felt love, lost love and am so grateful and lucky to have found it again."
The video, filmed in her hometown, has a nostalgic feel to it with stunning visuals and flawless vocals. Fans immediately took to the comments from just seeing a screenshot of the clip to compare her to mama Evelyn Braxton and her sister, Traci Braxton.
However, that's not all they had to say. Some believe that the mother of one is bringing R&B back with this heart-filled piece of art.
"@tamarbraxton we will always love you despite of it all we know you're worth and you deserve the best."
"One of the greatest albums I've heard in my life! From start to finish REAL R&B I SO ❤ YOU AND IM A FOREVER FAN!!!"
"@tamarbraxton omg you look so beautiful and I love the song. Keep the music coming, your voice is amazing."
"I ? the song. I am so happy for you darling. You have the best voice I ever had the pleasure to listen to. Happy holidays beautiful."
If you're a fan of Tamar, you'd know that it's been a struggle for the 41-year-old diva to get where she is today. After being dropped from her talk show, announcing her divorce, and feuding with family -- it seems she focusing more on herself and less on critics and haters.
Do you like the music video? Do you think she's bringing R&B back?
