A gunman killed 12 people at a Virginia beach municipal building, as you may already know. CNN just reported that the family of the gunman posted a handwritten message yesterday on their front door sending their 'heartfelt condolences to the victims.'

'We are grieving the loss of our loved one. At this time, we wish to focus on the victims and the lives (lost) during yesterday's tragic event,' they wrote.

They continued and wrote, 'Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who (lost) their lives, and those recovering in the hospital. -- The Craddocks'

The gunman was killed after a fierce battle with the police.

T.I. is sending his prayers to everyone who has been affected by this tragedy.

'My heart goes out to all affected by this cowardly tragedy. #Pray4VirginiaBeach' Tip posted.

Prayers for the families of the fallen and wishing a speedy recovery for those wounded. Between Maleah Davis and this here, it's just to much!! 😔😔😔😔😔😔'

One commenter thanked Tip and said: 'Thank you for acknowledging this horrible tragedy. I have not seen any celebrity that I follow do it. I am VA born and raised and my friend lost his sister in law. It’s devastating.'

Not too long ago, Tip praised his mayor, Keisha Bottoms and wanted people to know more about her.
