We have learned that today, rapper T.I. got arrested! Apparently, Tiny Harris’ husband and father of her children was taken in for simple assault, public drunkenness as well as disorderly conduct.
The arrest was officially confirmed for the first time to E! News by Deputy Chief Mike Ireland of the Henry County Police Department in Georgia.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office also announced that T.I. got arrested at around 6 A.M. today and released, on his own recognizance almost two hours later (7:51 A.M,) after paying his $2,250 bail.
Channel 2 Action News reported that it all started at around 4 A.M. when T.I. returned to his gated community only to realize he did not have his keys on him.
Supposedly, when the guard denied him entrance, T.I. used the old ‘Don’t you know who I am?’ on him.
But the man did not care and refused to allow the drunk rapper to go in.
The celeb then proceeded to call his friend, and when he arrived, they both began to argue with the guard.
Ireland confirmed that a very heated argument between T.I. – birth name, Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. – and the guard at the gate definitely took place before the authorities showed up to stop it from escalating.
The Deputy Chief also suspects it was the guard who called the Henry County Police Department to the scene.
Meanwhile, T.I.’s supportive pal, who has remained unnamed in the police report, had an arrested warrant already.
Tip is still to address the situation at the time of this article’s publication. Who do you think is to blame? Should the guard have left the star in? Let us know!
