After 15 seasons, Supernatural is coming to an end. The hit CW show will return next year for its last and final season, with a 20-episode run that includes a grand finale.
Cast members Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins appeared in a heartfelt video announcing the news to fans. It was very emotional with all three men working hard to keep it together.
They revealed that it was important to the guys that they be the ones to let fans know Supernatural was ending. Ackles, Padalecki, and Collins also announced they had just got done telling the crew they would be back one last time.

The three men did not give a specific reason for the long-running CW show ending. However, Ackles gave a little wink and suggested the Winchester family never ends. Not sure what that means but his message has definitely got the spin-off rumors swirling.
Shortly after the cast released their message, Supernatural’s executive producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb shared a statement regarding the shows ending after 15 seasons.
“Firstly, we would like to thank all the people who have been involved with the show both in front of and behind the camera. For us it has been an experience of a lifetime. The support we have had from both Warner Bros Television and The CW has been incredible. We’d like to give special thanks to Jensen, Jared, and Misha for making this journey so special. It is now most important to us to give these characters that we love the sendoff they deserve,” read the statement.

Along with being the longest running show on the CW, Supernatural celebrated an iconic 300th episode a few weeks back. When the show says good-bye next year, it will have aired a whopping 327 episodes, which is extremely impressive. There will no doubt be a lot of twists and turns during the final season but don’t expect any spoilers from the cast.
It is time to say goodbye to the Winchester brothers. Hopefully, Jeffrey Dean Morgan will return at some point during the final season. Supernatural ending without him would not be doing the show justice.
