According to Suki Waterhouse, she “hurt somebody” while on the set of her new movie, Assassination Nation, where she was performing stunts with a firearm. The result of which led to people online believing she accidentally shot someone.
The 26-year-old actress said, “I hurt somebody,” while at the premiere for the movie this past week. Suki explained that the bullet ricocheted and her stuntmen hadn’t seen something like that for “over twenty years.”
“The bullet came back at the guy and hurt him,” the actress continued. Moreover, she spoke about the fact that she and her other cast-mates didn’t receive much firearms training.
“Maybe just an hour,” she remarked. However, she didn’t reveal the identity of the person, but there’s no question he probably wasn’t pleased with the incident.
Suki filmed the movie in New Orleans along with stars like Joel McHale, Abra, Odessa Young, Hari Nef, Maude Apatow, Bill Skarsgard, and Bella Thorne.
As cinephiles know, Suki is fortunate nothing bad happened, because such an incident has occurred before. In 1993, Brandon Lee, Bruce Lee’s son, died due to an accident while on the set of The Crow, which has gone down in history as one of the greatest cult classics of the 1990s.
Unfortunately, Brandon was the only son of the late and legendary Bruce Lee, who passed away in 1973. Since Brandon lost his life while on set, the movie has an added status of mysteriousness.
Brandon was killed on account of an error, whereby he was shot dead with blanks that were loaded with primers. Part of the bullet was lodged in the firearm, and the primer shot it into his chest and he died from his wounds while in the hospital following six hours of surgery.
