This week, the Straight Outta Compton alum, Jason Mitchell, was apprehended by Mississippi authorities on drug and gun possession charges, Page Six reported. On Thursday, the New York Post's Page Six confirmed that the actor was detained at the Harrison County Sheriff's Office and put into jail on four charges.

The actor was slapped with four different felony charges, including two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute again, except for MDMA pills, rather than marijuana.

Police took the 33-year-old actor to the Harrison County Jail at 2:27 pm and he was released just five hours later around 8:00 pm after dropping a $150,000 bond. Fans of Jason know he has found himself in trouble repeatedly over the last few years.

Last year, Mitchell was fired from the Netflix film, Desperado , and was also kicked off of Showtime's The Chi. Tiffany Boone, his co-star on the series, left a year after Jason was fired because of the alleged sexual harassment she endured.

Things got worse for him once again when his agent - also a manager and lawyer - served his working relationship with Jason following his firing from The Chi. During an interview on The Breakfast Club, Mitchell explained that he was a "sweet guy" and wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone.

He apologized if he ever harmed any person in any way. Michell went on to say that he had "deepest apologies" to any individuals he may have hurt because it was never his intention to make anyone feel that way.

As most know, Jason first came to prominence on the hit film, Straight Outta Compton, which was one of the biggest movies of 2015. Jason Mitchell portrayed Eazy-E in the film, the rapper who succumbed to AIDS in 1995.

Eazy-E died just one month after his AIDS diagnosis and released a statement to his fans. He also made amends with his former NWA band member, Ice Cube.
