Donald Trump needs to turn his television off because Stephen Colbert is using every opportunity he gets as host of the 2017 Emmy Awards to take him down.

The world expected Colbert to attack the president, and thus far, he is delivering, but no one predicted that White House alum Sean Spicer would be there.

The funny TV host had a lengthy monologue where he blamed the Emmy Awards for the fact there is a reality star in the White House.

Colbert claimed if only they had given the brash billionaire an award for Celebrity Apprentice years ago he would not have challenged Hillary Clinton in 2016 and win with the help of Russian hackers.

He also spoke about climate change, the allegations of Trump's bromance with Vladimir Putin, and the resurgence of Nazis and White Supremacists since the November election.

Colbert began with: “The biggest TV star of the last year is Donald Trump. And, you know, Alec Baldwin. You guys are neck and neck, and Alec, you are up against a lot of neck.”

He also went after some of Trump's controversial supporters by saying: “You cannot deny every the TV show has been influenced by Trump in some way. All the late night shows, House of Cards, American Horror Story, and next year’s Latin Grammys, hosted by Sherrif Joe Arpaio,” We all know Emmys mean a lot to Donald Trump. Because he was nominated multiple times for Celebrity Apprentice and never one. He never won. Why didn’t you give him an Emmy? If he had won an Emmy, I bet he would not have run for president. In a way, this is all your fault. I thought you people love morally compromised anti-heroes. You love Walter White. He is Walter-much-whiter.”

He concluded with: “The president has complained the Emmys are rigged… Because unlike the presidency, Emmys go to the winner of the popular vote. Where do I find the courage to tell that joke in this room?”

Colbert's opening monologue also featured a cameo from fired White House Press Secretary Spicer who did his best Melissa McCarthy impression.

Many were shocked to see him at the show.
