Producers of Southern Charm have banned Thomas Ravenel from this weekend’s reunion show because of his sexual assault allegations scandal, but his girlfriend, Ashley Jacobs, will be at the taping without him. Does this mean that Jacobs isn’t standing by her man?
Radar Online is reporting that Jacobs “went back and forth with Thomas” when it came to the decision of filming the reunion in New York City. But, she eventually decided to go even though producers banned her boyfriend.
“Ashley is going to the show with the rest of the cast to defend herself and Thomas. The last two episodes have turned everyone against her. She was so wild this season, fighting with Kathryn, she wants to make sure her side of the story gets out there,” reveals an insider.
Last month, Debbie Perkins accused Ravenel of sexually assaulting her back in 2015 after they matched on Tinder and met up for a date. According to Perkins’ daughter, he eventually paid a $200,000 settlement. And, a former nanny has also claimed Ravenel sexually assaulted her in his home in 2016.
With Charleston Police and Southern Charm’s production company both in the middle of investigations into the matter, it seemed best not to have Ravenel at the reunion. But, despite the accusations, Jacobs decided to leave him behind in South Carolina and go to New York on her own, so she could speak for herself after earning the wrath of the cast this season.
Ravenel and his baby mama, Kathryn Dennis, have seemingly repaired their relationship and have been spending time together with their two kids, Kensie and Saint, and posting videos and pics on social media.
On last week’s episode of Southern Charm, there was an explosive fight between the exes over whether Jacobs would attend Saint’s second birthday party. When the big day arrived, they ended up leaving her off the guest list.
Jacobs said she was hoping to get the chance to go to Saint’s party and show Dennis she isn’t a threat. She also said that a text from Dennis to Ravenel asking him to keep Jacobs away from her kids “hurt” her.
But Ravenel is clearly over the drama and said that he knows Dennis and the kids will always be in his life, so he needs to be with someone who understands that, and who is not critical, jealous, or paranoid. However, Jacobs told Ravenel that she doesn’t trust Dennis, and called her “evil.” She also said she doesn’t trust Dennis being in a room “anywhere I’m not.” Jacobs added that she isn’t dealing with a normal person when it comes to Dennis. Instead, she is dealing with darkness and evil.
Ravenel, Dennis, and the rest of the cast spent the day at Saint’s party by finger painting and opening presents. The 55-year-old says that his ex has stepped up as a mom, and it has been amazing to watch her transformation.
But the celebration came to an end when Ravenel returned home to Jacobs. When he attempted to explain why Dennis didn’t want her at the party, Jacobs said that exes aren’t family.
“You were never a family. These children weren’t planned on. You weren’t in a relationship when you had them. You guys never were in love! She’s living in a fantasy world,” said Jacobs.
But Ravenel told her she needed to back down, and that he will always have a soft spot in his heart for Dennis and won’t let anything happen to his kids. He added that if you disrespect Dennis, then you disrespect him and his kids.
