The bitter feud between Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel’s girlfriend Ashley Jacobs continues on and off screen, and it looks like Jacobs has hit a new low by attempting to upstage Dennis over mental health issues. During the most recent episode, Dennis opened up about her struggles with depression. But just a few hours before it aired, Jacobs posted on social media about her anxiety.
On the most recent episode, Dennis talked about the dark days she has experienced because of her mental illness while going on and off anti-depressant medication. Fans praised Dennis online for being brave and honest about her secret struggle.
“I don’t know, it’s really difficult to explain. With everything going on like the Ashley stuff, it’s just been a lot, and I felt like I literally just took a mental break and shut my phone off, locked myself in my apartment,” Dennis said on the episode.
But as Radar Online points out, a few hours earlier, Jacobs posted bikini selfies and then wrote in the caption that she has struggled with severe anxiety due to stress over the past eight months.
She shared that her cross-country move, leaving her friends and family, a new relationship, not having her nursing license, and appearing on a reality TV show have caused her stress-related anxiety. But then she said she is accountable for her own choices.
Fans immediately started calling Jacobs out after the post, with one calling it a “coincidence” that she posted about mental health knowing that Dennis would be talking about it on Southern Charm. And another said people don’t like Jacobs because they can see through her, and it is obvious she isn’t sorry when it comes to talking trash about Dennis.

Southern Charm fans also called the time of Jacobs’ post “suspect” on her Instagram page.
Last week Dennis and Jacobs also continued their Twitter war after Ravenel’s baby momma wrote “Hi Ashley” on an anonymous trolling post she believed Jacobs had written.
As for Dennis’ struggle with depression on last week’s episode, some of her co-stars talked about the situation on the after show, with Danni Baird revealing that it was unusual for Dennis to ignore her calls, and this time was different. She added that Dennis going MIA freaked her out.
Ashley should look no further than the unforgettable dinner in what now shall be considered as "ground zero" for the hate mail. Perhaps she should replay that episode to remind herself the hateful things said and the venomous look on her face while saying it

Shep Rose said that when Dennis went missing for a few days, it was disheartening because the people who supported and stood up for her couldn’t find her. He also explained that he doesn’t know much about depression, but it is hard to comprehend when you are on the other side of it.
Ashley is posting messages saying she was encouraged to have a fake account to go after @KathrynDennis……she is so delusional it is really sad and scary at the same time

Naomie Olindo also got in on the discussion, and she explained that they didn’t want Dennis’ disappearance to be a big thing because it adds to her stress.
But, after not hearing from her for a few days she started to worry. She said all she wanted was for Dennis to text her and tell her she wants to be left alone. But thankfully, Kathryn Dennis was fine. However, Jacobs didn’t help the situation.
New episodes of Southern Charm air Thursday nights on Bravo.
