'Southern Charm' Star Thomas Ravenel Now Supported By One Of His Accusers Daughters In Sexual Assault Case
Thomas Ravenel’s arrest for sexual assault keeps getting stranger by the day. Police arrested the former Southern Charm star last week for second degree assault and battery, but a new twist in the case has left fans wondering about what is really going on behind the scenes.
For some background, several women have accused Ravenel of sexual assault and battery over the past year. The accusations first surfaced in April when Ashley Perkins, a model from Florida, revealed that Ravenel had assaulted her mother.
Perkins exposed the reality star on social media and claims the incident occurred in the winter of 2015. Perkins also says that Ravenel paid her mom $200,000 to keep quiet about the assault.
After the Perkins bombshell, other women started coming forward with similar stories. This includes Nanny Dawn, who’s story led to Ravenel’s arrest last week. We still do not know what evidence prosecutors have against Ravenel, but Perkins’ latest comments on social media are completely puzzling.
On Twitter Perkins claims that she met Dawn before she went to the police with her story. She claims the things Dawn told her are completely different from the police reports and what Dawn has relayed to the media.
Basically, the same person who originally came forward and accused Ravenel of sexual assault is now questioning his other victim’s credibility. When fans asked Perkins to clarify what she meant, her response was even more bizarre.
One fan asked the former model if Dawn downplayed the assault and if it was worse than what was outlined in the report. In response, Perkins said, “No, definitely not worse. Major discrepancies that concern me.”
Perkins later confirmed that she no longer believes that Dawn’s version of the story is true. It is not clear how Perkins’ testimony will affect Ravenel’s case, but Perkins hopes the truth will come out in the trial.
