During part two of the recent Southern Charm reunion, Ashley Jacobs got the chance to explain her controversial behavior during season five. But, there is still one thing the alleged gold digger wishes she could make right.
Jacobs talked to The Daily Dish before part two aired last week, and when the interviewer asked her if there was anything she didn’t get the chance to say at the reunion, Jacobs said that she wished she had apologized to the cast and crew for her behavior during the Hilton Head Island trip.
I make my husband watch #SouthernCharm with me because Ashley Jacobs makes me look like a saintly choice in a life partner. Thanks gurl xx

During that vacation, fans watched Jacobs get into a heated argument with Thomas Ravenel’s ex, Kathryn Dennis. And at the reunion, Shep Rose commented that Jacobs appeared to feel “emboldened” by her argument with Dennis and the fallout afterward, but Jacobs said that wasn’t the case.
“That’s not how I felt at all. I didn’t realize looking back that I made their trip uncomfortable. If I had a chance to apologize not just to Kathryn, but to Shep and Chelsea [Meissner] and Craig [Conover], you know, everyone else that was in this house that had to deal with me. In hindsight, I wish I would have said something sooner, I wish I would have apologized to everyone in that moment in that home, and I didn’t,” explained Jacobs.
She added that it didn’t occur to her that she hurt others, and not just Dennis. Jacobs said she ruined a memorable trip for them, and she feels bad that she didn’t apologize.

Jacobs admits that she has come to the realization that she can be more direct and unfiltered than others in the Southern Charm cast. She says what she thinks, and she is very open and transparent. She also admits that she isn’t Southern, and if she has an issue with someone, they are going to hear about it.
She says she won’t talk about people behind their back or walk away from a situation. As a hospice nurse, Jacobs has dealt with death and dying for a long time. So, she has learned to live in the moment, take chances, speak from the heart, and say what is on her mind because she never knows if she will get another chance to do it.
Other than the Hilton Head trip, Jacobs says she doesn’t have any regrets about her time on Southern Charm this season. She says it was a learning experience, and even though people hated her, she learned a lot about herself.
The cast has made it well known that they are not fans of Jacobs, and Patricia Altschul, in particular, feels the newcomer is a gold digger and famewhore.
I admire @Pataltschul for her restraint—this girl is trying to deflect and use her as a scapegoat and sorry..not true and won’t work for ya A! Move on. Ugh. Patricia is amazing and you took her kindness for granted. #byeA https://t.co/jd76htxE8e

“My new favorite word is ‘famewhore,’ I love to use it whenever possible, so… famewhore! Famewhore! Famewhore!” said Altschul in a recent interview.
The Southern Charm matriarch wonders why anyone would pick up and move across the country for a new relationship because it is hard to fall in love after five dates.
“Call me a skeptic, and the fact that she was so adamant about getting a ring, getting clothes, getting jewelry, getting Vuitton luggage, I mean, it seemed a little too obvious to just be love,” said Altschul.
No word yet on if Thomas Ravenel and Ashley Jacobs will be invited back for Season 6 of Southern Charm.
