While the latter part of the currently airing season of Jersey Shore was filming, rumors swirled that Nicole ‘Snppki’ Polizzi, Deena Cortese, and Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley ruined Angelina Pivarnick’s big day with a speech that brought her to tears and got them booed off stage. It turns out, the speech was a set up by the producers of the show.
Snooki, JWoww, and Deena are all fed up with the mean girl narrative that has been surrounding them since the incident and has decided to speak up about it.
Deena was the first to tell fans that producers forced them to give a speech that they didn’t want to do in the first place.
Snooki recently revealed on her podcast that the speech was a product of overproduction by the showrunners. She said that since MTV paid for Angelina’s wedding, they basically called the sots.
‘Deena was correct, producers forced us to do the speech. I literally said ‘no’ like 10 times. Even though MTV paid for Angelina’s wedding fully and it was the final episode of the season, of course they wanted it to be crazy with all of us there. Her sister was the maid of honor and I felt she should do the speech. I was really uncomfortable. I was like, ‘I’m not doing a f****** speech…I don’t like to be forced to do something I’m not comfortable with and that’s what Deena was talking about.’
The backlash is what led her to finally decide to quit the show for good.
She even revealed that the epic dance routine that Pauly, Vinny, and Ronnie did at Mike Sorrentino’s nuptials was actually the producers ideas.
Snooki feels that they should be less involved with what goes on and have things unfold naturally.
She recently did her last press run for the last season she will be appearing in.
Snooki also realized that she would probably get in trouble for telling the truth but at this point — it doesn’t matter.
