Siggy Flicker Quits 'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' After Racist Remarks
Following a drama filled season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey , Siggy Flicker has officially had enough. Radar Online reports that the RHONJ star decided to quit the show after her epic feud with Margaret Josephs, who made controversial comments about Hitler this season.
An inside source claims that Flicker was tired of fighting with Josephs and simply wanted out. She apparently negotiated a deal with Bravo to let her out of her contract a year early and did not need the extra money. It is not clear how big of a pay cut she took in the deal. Apart from her feud with Josephs, Flicker was unhappy with how producers were portraying her this season. By the time the reunion was a wrap, Flicker decided she had enough and didn’t want her reputation ruined any further.
Flicker’s ongoing battle with Josephs started from day one. While filming for episodes in Boca Raton, Flicker blasted Josephs for stirring up drama. The women later got into a huge fight over Hitler and the Holocaust. As fans will recall, Flicker’s father survived the Holocaust, so one can imagine how she felt when Josephs told her, “Hitler would have not killed me. Does that make him a good person?” But Flicker’s resentment towards Josephs didn’t end there.
While Flicker was unhappy with Josephs’ Hitler remark, she felt personally attacked when her RHONJ co-star targeted her daughter during the cast vacation to Italy.
Flicker firmly believes that children are off limits on the show and was further enraged when producers decided to cut Josephs’ comments from the show. At the end of the day, Flicker felt as though producers were giving her a bad rap, even though it was Joseph who was making all the controversial comments. The insider claims that Flicker is completely done with the show and has zero interest in ever coming back.
According to People , Flicker has since released a statement confirming her departure after two seasons on the RHONJ . While Flicker had it rough with Josephs, she thanked Bravo in her statement for allowing her the opportunity to be a part of the hit franchise. She also wished all her co-stars the best, including Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, her longtime friend Teresa Giudice, Danielle Staub, and, yes, even Margaret Josephs. Flicker revealed that her decision to leave the series is based on her desire to grow her business, start new projects, and enjoy more time with her family. She did not reference her ongoing feud with Josephs or her unhappiness with Bravo’s editing team.
While Flicker and Josephs apologized to each other on the most recent episode of the RHONJ , the women have continued their fight on social media. Siggy Flicker may not have wanted to come out and say it, but she clearly has a poor opinion of Joseph and doesn’t want anything else to do with her.
Fans can watch the drama unfold when new episodes of the Real Housewives of New Jersey air Wednesday nights on Bravo.
