Sheree Whitfield ‘Blindsided’ Over Prison Romance Storyline On RHOA - She Doesn't Want To Be The New Phaedra Parks!
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star will not be treated like disgraced former cast member Phaedra Parks! We have learned that Sheree Whitfield wished to keep her prison love a secret while filming for the reality TV show.
According to an insider, the woman now feels ‘blindsided’ over the talks about her romance with jailbird Tyrone Gilliams.
The reality TV star has known Gilliams for decades, and she knew Nene Leakes was aware of his existence and criminal past, but she was shocked by the fact that the cast started talking about it and her secret romance she wanted to keep under wraps was included on the show as her storyline.
‘When cast members Kandi Burruss and Nene Leakes approached her about the rumors, she got defensive because she was not comfortable going on record talking about their relationship,’ the source explained, adding that Sheree is not too sure she wants that part of her life discussed on TV seeing how dating a felon has caused former co-star Phaedra Parks quite a few image problems.
In addition, Sheree does not feel comfortable with how the producers seem to be trying to exploit her relationship just for ratings.
Back in December, the woman told Andy Cohen that she and the jailbird were nothing more than just friends and denied being engaged to him.
However, on season 10, Nene Leakes insisted that her co-star was, in fact, involved romantically with the ‘con artist.’
Gilliams is currently serving his 10-year sentence behind bars for stealing no less than $5 million from investors.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the man is set to be released in November of 2022.
