Shawn Mendez is young and talented and one of the most appreciated raising stars of today and he deserves it a hundred percent. The young singer proved once again that talent is what matters most as a celebrity, at the 2016 American Music Awards, where he performed his latest song, ‘Mercy’. The song definitely left all the fans at his mercy, his great vocals and visible passion on stage mesmerizing thousands of young girls. The 18 year old also performed live his hit song ‘Treat You Better’ and the effect was just as capturing of teenage girls’ hearts. Not only the young fans were impressed, but Shawn blew us all away with his incredible talent.
The performance was well planned and it only added to the overall feel of the songs. The 18 year old singer started by standing in front of a three dimensional prism of mirrors, playing his guitar. We already knew how good of a guitarist Shawn was from before but he was still impressing. The reflective backdrop was lit up by moving images, while he sang his single ‘Treat You Better’ giving the performance an air of melancholy and romance feel. It was mesmerizing from start to finish, every single second of it captivating.
As if playing the guitar as well as he does was not enough talent, the singer moved on to his next song ‘Mercy’ during which he also played the piano, serenading the crowd. He performed more than one song and played more than one instrument. What more could we ask of him? He was hands down awesome. Music has a future with people like him around, without a doubt.
After his touching piano demonstration, Shawn Mendez stood up in the center of the stage, just him and the microphone during those moments, and was able to captivate the entire crowd. It was absolutely epic and we couldn’t get enough of it.
