Shawn Mendes has been forced to cancel his Brazil concert for November 30th. On Saturday, the hunky singer used social media to let his fans know, per doctor's order he needed to rest his vocal cords.

"Sao Paulo, I'm so so sorry to have to tell you this, but today I woke up feeling ill, and went to the doctor, to find out I have laryngitis and a sinus infection which has caused swelling of my vocal cords," he shared on Twitter and Instagram Story.

Shortly before he announced the cancelation of his concert, Mendes was spotted going into a medical clinic in San Paulo. The singer isn't leaving his fans high and dry. He concluded his news by letting fans know the show will be rescheduled.

"It breaks my heart to do this but my doctors told me I cannot perform tonight or it would risk long term damage to my voice. I love you all so much and apologize from the bottom of my heart as I wish I could be there on stage tonight. I promise I will make it up to you next time I'm back in South America. Te Amo," said the 21-year-old.

Mendes followed up with a special Tweet that simply told his fans he was so sorry and shared a heart emoji showing his love for them.

Friday night during his first San Paulo concert, Mendes used his platform to protest climate change by having "Climate Action Now" written on the back of his guitar in glowing lights. He used the image from the concert to thank those who attended his performance that evening.

The 'Senorita' crooner is in the middle of a massive world tour. His next concert is scheduled for Tuesday, December 3rd in Rio de Janeiro. As of now, he has not postponed that performance.

It is still a few days away, so hopefully, his laryngitis clears up and doctors give him the okay to sing. Fans won't be too happy if the hunky singer has to cancel another concert, even if it is for a good reason.

Doctors have forced Shawn Mendes to cancel his San Paulo concert because of issues with his voice. He has to protect his vocal cords at all costs. After all, if Mendes injuries them, then it could prevent him from making music in the future and putting on smoking on concerts.

A little rest is in order for Mendes but according to his social media posts, he is on the mend. The singer will be letting fans to the postponed concert date soon.
