Canadian singer The Weeknd is starting to believe that Justin Bieber was stuck in Selena Gomez’s head and heart during the nine months they were dating.
Monday, the Texan singer announced that her love affair with The Weeknd was over.
Not many people were surprised, but they were disappointed in Gomez who decided to run back to Bieber mere seconds after the split was made official.
A source has come out to say that the R&B artist is hurt and saddened by the separation.
It appears that The Weeknd was already planning a wedding, picked the names of the children, and was ready to pay the mortgage on a family home.
A close to The Weeknd, also known as Abel Tesfaye, explained: “Abel is heartbroken that Selena and Justin are spending time together after their split. He trusted her — but can’t help but wonder if he [Justin] had been on her mind while they were together. It just makes their split more painful than it already is.”
The insider went on to say that the musician feels like she is the one who got away.
The chatty person claimed: “Abel thought she was the one.”
Meanwhile, it is being reported elsewhere that Bieber thinks Gomez is the woman of his dreams and will do everything for the relationship to work out — and she feels the same way.
The source said: “No matter what happens, and where life goes, Selena’s heart always ends up coming back to Justin. They truly do love each other deeply, but despite multiple tries, they have never been able to make it work, and they have always ended up splitting.”
The insider added: “Selena believes they are destined to be together though, and that Justin is her soulmate, but they just met each other at too young age to be able to make a go of it.”
The person concluded: “They still have those deep, intense feelings for each other — they do not just dissolve because they split — so, inevitably they end up agreeing to try to give it just one more try.”
Gomez is focusing on her new film with director Woody Allen, while The Weeknd is zig-zagging all over the world on his Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour.
Gomez blamed their schedules for the split.
