Former Baywatch and Charles in Charge star Nicole Eggert told Dr. Oz earlier this month that Scott Baio got physical with her when she was still a minor in an interview has never aired. Eggert alleges that an inappropriate relationship started between the two when she was 14, but Baio is denying the claims, calling them “100% lies.”
Eggert gave the interview on January 10th, and says that Baio told her he could help her get ready for sexual relations with boys her own age (Baio is eleven years older than Eggert), and she agreed, but it was awkward – calling it a “goodbye action.”
Eggert’s story is a bit hard to follow, but her alleged timeline seems to be that when they worked together on Charles in Charge, inappropriate conversations began when she was 14. She wrote in a since-deleted tweet, “ask @scottbaio what happened in his garage at his house when I was a minor. Creep.”

In her interview, Eggert says that when she turned 17, Baio lured into having sex at her house when her parents weren’t home. She said he told her that he loved her, and he hoped that one day when she was of age, the two of them could be together.
The interview with Dr. Oz never aired due to a cease and desist letter from Baio’s attorneys. Even though they shelved the show, a rep for Dr. Oz says they are still investigating the story.
Just minutes after Eggert’s tweet, Baio’s wife, Renee, spoke out against Eggert on Twitter, then Baio went to Facebook Live with “proof” that Eggert’s story wasn’t true.
Baio says that the two did have sex, but it was after Eggert turned 18. He also says that it was Eggert who initiated it by coming over to his house and seducing him. He justified the action by saying it would have been what any red-blooded American man would have done.
“Nicole is making up these claims about me,” Baio said. He said that Eggert had previously stated that the two had sex “way, way after Charles in Charge was off the air.” But then he showed a copy of an episode script page from 1990 when Eggert would have been 18.

During a 2013 interview, Eggert said that she lost her virginity to Baio, but claimed they started hooking up when she was 16 – saying there was flirting and messing around – but the sex didn’t happen until she was 17.
She said that even though she was dating someone, she had sex with Baio because she was embarrassed about being a virgin and needed someone to “pop the cherry and make me a veteran.”
Now, Nicole Eggert has shared her side of the story with Megyn Kelly, Scott Baio has yet to respond.
