Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie’s ex, Rob Valletta, can’t seem to stop talking about his time on the reality show that he claims he wants nothing to do with. He recently appeared on the Domenick Nati Show and admitted that he only did VPR for his ex, and as soon as he started filming the cast tried to craft a rumor about him to start drama.
Page Six is reporting that Valletta’s time on VPR wasn’t without regrets. He said he wishes he wouldn’t have held anything back, but he did hold back because he felt “taken advantage of by doing the show.”
Valletta appeared in VPR’s most recent season, and he says during week one of filming the cast decided to start a rumor about him making out with a girl. And, he says that is exactly why he didn’t want to do the show because they questioned him as a person.
All I’m going to say about tonight’s episode is that this is the most loyal man I’ve ever met in my entire life and he never left my side the night this so called incident took place! People will believe what they want but i don’t care. I know him better than anyone and him and i are just fine. @robsvalletta I always will have your back! #kickstand #pumprules ?
The 37-year-old also compared the VPR cast to high school jocks who are past their prime. “They’re not famous,” he said. “They’re like the quarterback in high school that never made it to the pros.”
He added that when the show is over, people will move on to the next reality star or the next show, and fame doesn’t last.
Valletta had only positive things to say about Marie and admits he would be open to dating her again if the time was right. He also said that he never watched an episode of VPR until Marie asked him to be on the show with her.
Marie said that she and Valletta have done their best to maintain their friendship after being on and off for 11 years. But, she admits it hasn’t been easy. However, they do have a lot of respect and love for one another and will always find a way to be involved in each other’s lives.
The couple split back in October just weeks after they finished shooting season six.
Big Bear will always be my happy place. A lot of people are watching a TV show that was shot months ago, and TV shows are shot to create drama and intrigue. No one knows what happens behind closed doors and or when the cameras are off. But what I do know is that there are things that I never expressed on camera, but did in person. The reason I created space in our relationship was because of the world, not the person. @scheana and I have cared for and supported each other for 12 years no matter the circumstances or dynamic. Leaving mean or nasty comments needs to stop! Everyone needs to be kind and supportive, and not attacking and judgmental, because you’re simply watching a person trying to protect a relationship with another person who was, and is, extremely hesitant to be any part of the VPR world. Life can get hard enough as it is, so love each other and be kind. It makes life a lot easier.
This led to some accusing Valletta of “using” Scheana Marie for fame, but he says that anyone can look at his IMDB page and see that he has worked in the industry for 15 years and he has more credits than anyone on VPR.
He also pointed out that his sister – Hitch actress Amber Valletta – is famous, and if he wanted fame so badly it would make sense for him to constantly post pictures with her.
As for his thoughts on SUR owner Lisa Vanderpump, Rob Valletta says she is basically famous in the reality world because of some work that she has done.
But, Valletta’s biggest issue with VPR apparently centers around James Kennedy. He says that he has been respectful to everyone in the cast, but Kennedy still says things about him. However, he added that if he is going to let a 23-year-old kid who refers to himself in the third person bother him, then he has a lot of bigger things in his life he needs to fix.
New episodes of Vanderpump Rules will return to Bravo later this year.
