The “Vanderpump Rules” premiere wasn’t lacking any drama or big changes. One of those adjustments was seeing Scheana Marie with her new boyfriend, Rob Valletta. During her annual birthday bash, the reality star said some things that didn’t sit well with viewers about her marriage to Mike Shay.
Scheana claimed that she’s always wanted to be with Rob even before she was married. Rob and Scheana’s relationship predates the one she had with her ex-husband.
Marie claims that Valletta is “The one that got away.”
Fans of the show understandably had the same questions in mind: Why did the model marry Mike Shay? Did Scheana actually want to be with Rob during her entire union? Was she already planning to leave Shay for Valletta anyway?
The “Vanderpump Rules” starlet is blaming the rash comments she made on alcohol.
She explained to AOL that: “What I got the most hate for were some drunken comments I made at my birthday party. I was never discrediting my marriage; I was never saying that while I was with Shay that I wanted to be with Rob. I know it came off that way, but it’s just that anyone who knew me before Shay when I was with Rob knew that that was always my person and the one that got away.”
Fans know that Scheana was in a full blown relationship with Valletta merely months after her divorce. It made people question if it was too rushed.
Apparently, even though she and Rob have already broken up, the 32-year-old doesn’t think that things moved too fast with the actor at all.
“Everyone was saying that I was ‘rushing into this,’ but, no, this was the guy that I always wanted. Not taking away from my marriage, but if it was anyone else in the world, I wouldn’t have jumped in so quickly. But, no, no, no, this is the one that got away, and this is the guy who I always wanted it to work out with and it never did. And now I have an opportunity to make it work again, which it still didn’t,” she explained.
Do you think that Scheana was discrediting her marriage to Shay with what she said?
