Saweetie has been in the headlines repeatedly over the last few weeks for more reasons than one. The star just dropped a brand new song, "Back To The Streets" featuring Jhené Aiko, and she found herself sparking controversy over comments she had made last month regarding her expectations of a man.

Saweetie, alongside her boyfriend, Quavo , took to her Instagram account to share her thoughts on what a man's responsibility to his girl should be. The rapper claimed every man had to pamper, spoil, and treat his woman like a queen - otherwise, hit the road.

Saweetie used the example of Birkins bans from Hermès as an example because she loves them. At the end of the clip in question, Quavo walks toward the camera while shrugging his shoulders in slight agreement. Subsequently, her comments sparked a social media debate about luxury items versus investments, in addition to old school gender norms.

Fast-forward to today, and Saweetie and Quavo are now in the media for a recent remark directed to Quavo. During the Verzuz battle this weekend between Gucci Mane and Jeezy, a comedian asked Quavo whether he was still sleeping with Reginae Carter, the daughter of Lil' Wayne.

Reginae denied it, as did Quavo, and then Saweetie addressed the rumors as well. She urged her fans and followers to "quit spreading that fake news" before she gets Quavo in trouble. She went on to say that she doesn't "play that s**t."

As for what Reginae Carter said, she took to her Twitter account to say that it wasn't wise for people to "run with a story" from someone that she doesn't even know. The reality star went on to say it was "really sick" the way that fake news could spread.

Quavo, as well, claimed the internet was "crazy," before going on to say that he wouldn't touch Lil' Wayne's daughter. According to Hot New Hip Hop, Quavo later deleted the tweet in question, before going on to invite his fans to join him on PS5 cross-play.
