There is no doubt that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are very in love. That being said, it looks like the man did not even bother to tell her about his love interest onscreen on The Conners.
While at the junket for her brand new film, Here and Now, Sarah Jessica Parker chatted with ET and confirmed that Broderick is indeed starring on the show.
However, it was the interviewer, Nischelle Turner, that told the actress more about his role.
When informed that he is playing Laurie Metcalf’s love interest on The Conners, SJP hilariously said that ‘He didn’t tell me that part.’
‘He told me that he got to work with Laurie Metcalf. He really loves Laurie Metcalf. We all love Laurie Metcalf. We have loved her for years, not that she is a hundred years old, but her entire career’s something to admire. But we do not talk about work much.’
It was confirmed earlier this month that Broderick got a multi-episode starring arc on the comedy show, but the whole thing was shot fairly quickly, so he was back with his family in no time.
‘How he told me is, ‘I have to go to Los Angeles.’ And the trip was so fast that my son, after he was back and when we were in the kitchen, my son was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ And my husband was like, ‘I was in Los Angeles yesterday.’ And my son was like, ‘You were?’ But my son’s so busy. He was like, ‘I told the girls.’ But James was not home when he said yes and got on a plane,’ Parker shared with the outlet.
