Bullock underwent a terrifying ordeal when in June 2014, Corbett had broken into her home and stood outside her bedroom door. Bullock hid inside her home and called 911. Investigators later found a notebook where Corbett had detailed plans to sexually assault Bullock before committing suicide.
It was also determined that Corbett had a break with reality and believed that Sandra Bullock was his wife and her child was their son. It’s unclear at this point what Corbett’s current frame of mind was at the time of the standoff. It has been reported authorities were serving a search warrant in relation to Sandra Bullock’s case.
She had filed several restraining orders against Corbett and in 2017, he received five years probation after being convicted of felony stalking and burglary. He was given a no-contact order that prevented him from having any contact with Bullock for ten years.
According to reports, no one else was inside the home with Corbett and no shots were fired. He barricaded himself inside the home when police came to serve the warrant. When the S.W.A.T team finally entered the home, Corbett was dead from apparent self-inflicted injuries.
Sandra Bullock has not released a statement at this time.
