If you are a Law & Order fan, then the character name Jack McCoy is certainly quite familiar to you. McCoy was a prosecutor and then executive ADA on the Law & Order TV show for 16 seasons. It will excite fans to know that the actor Sam Waterston who has played Jack McCoy will guest star on the very popular Law & Order spin-off show, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Waterston will appear sometime during the Fall 2017 season on the show. Exactly what his character McCoy will do during the upcoming episode is not known to the public.
What will make the guest appearance of Waterston even more special is that his son Peter Stone (Philip Winchester) will also appear on the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit television show. Stone has previously been seen on the TV show Chicago Justice. For now, fans do not know if the 2 will appear in the same episode or if their characters storylines will somehow intersect with each other.
Some fans were hugely disappointed when Law & Order ended with no notice in 2010. So no one knows really how the character Jack McCoy’s story really would have ended.
If you watched McCoy fight for justice, you know that he was tenacious, determined and always fought for the underdog even if the odds were against him. He was not afraid to go after a big company, the U.S.A. government, Wall Street or anyone in a powerful position. Jack McCoy was fully dedicated to fairness and discovering a just resolution, even if this did not seem possible.
Most recently, Sam Waterston has appeared on the fun & highly original “Grace and Frankie” TV show, along with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will start its 19th season this Fall, which is a tremendous milestone to reach.
If Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is one of your favorite TV shows, you’ll be pleased to know that the Fall 2017 season begins on Wednesday, September 27th at 9pm EST on NBC.
